Luke's gospel has two distinct and clear themes running through its pages - that of the Holy Spirit and of the marginalised - in fact God is a God of the marginalised and Jesus came to minister to them in particular. So as Christians we should also remember the marginalised.
Today we see at the baptism of Jesus an empowerment of the Holy Spirit on Jesus that changes everything and also how Jesus was concerned for foreigners.
