Luke's gospel has two distinct and clear themes running through its pages - that of the Holy Spirit and of the marginalised - in fact God is a God of the marginalised and Jesus came to minister to them in particular. So as Christians we should also remember the marginalised. Today we see God's partnership of Spirit and Word bringing us incarnation and we see God reaching out to a bunch of smelly shepherds and God launching his good news amongst the poor.
