Since that time he has been committed to various leadership positions in church and spent over 20 years in retail management in the technology sector.
In 2003, Stephen planted the Ark Church in a community centre just inside the ring road and late in 2014 he oversaw the relocation of the Ark to the city centre before moving to their current Hotel venue on Tadcaster Road.
Stephen is married to Pauline, and has three grown-up daughters: Libby, Melody & Arielle. Stephen and Pauline's son Rocky died of cancer in 2001 when he was 7 years old
Stephen is a published author, has ministerial credentials from Ground Level and the Order of St Leonard. He also has a Masters Degree in Practical Theology. Stephen still has a role within the children's cancer charity 'Candlelighters', (having previously been a Trustee for many years) serves as the Chair of the 'Friends of Amarna House' (a local care home) and is also on the board of the national charity Attend.
